Chu nho means "chinese" characters or ideograms. That was the way that
Vietnamese was written in ancient times. Thus only 'litterate' people
could access to knowledge and the 'other' people would remain illiterate.

"Viet Ngu" means the actual Vietnamese characters, i.e. latinized thanks
to Alexandre de Rhodes who made the transcription of ideogrammatic
Vietnamese into latinized words. "Viet Ngu" is also synonym of "Quoc
Ngu" , litterally translated by "national language".

Of course the transition of "Chu nho" to "Viet Ngu" was a 'revolution'
accessing to the needs of the whole Vietnamese people, so its eager and
speed to change.

Moving from proprietary softwares to Free softwares can't be compared
and actually meets with many obstacles.
