Hi everyone,

As some foreigners were interested in the Linux course for beginners's
session in Vietnamese of Jan. 27-28th, 2007, we have decided to offer an
English version of that course on Saturday 10th February, 2007 from 8am
til 5.30pm (lunch break around 12am for about 1 hour and half).

Fees for the course, including two coffe-breaks, CDs, printed materials
are 100.000 VND. Place is at CNF (address shown in my signature)
A maximum of 10 seats (one person per computer) is offered for this
course. To register, you need to send an email and to come pay your fees
before the 8th of February at the address shown in the signature.

Who may follow this course ?
People who are using computers but have never used Linux or installed
Linux by themselves and that are willing to (a) learn about Linux or/and
(b) wish to be able to install Linux by themselves on their own computer.

Instructors will be David Tremblay (HanoiLug) and myself.

What is Linux ; what are Linux distributions ; what are live CDs useful for.

2) Linux installation :
We will use the live CD Ubuntu 6.10 Desktop to perform the installation
process on a typical computer installed with FreeDos (to mimict Windows

preferences ; add essential packages and/or softwares to be able to
exchange files with users of the Microsoft Windows World (MS core fonts,
