Building cooperation in the field of open-source for eGovernance
(http://www.cosgov.org)

In its first edition, the COSGov Vietnam Conference will focus on building
cooperation in the field of open-source for eGovernance. The event will
take
place in Hanoi, Vietnam on September 28-30, 2005.

In 2004, the Vietnamese Government has identified Open Source as a way not
only to reinforce the national software infrastructure required for
efficient governance, but also to give a new chance for Vietnam to master
this infrastructure and incubate a national software industry. In this
context, the COSGov Conference will bring together public and private sector
professionals focused on transforming government operations through open
source software as a mean to improve public services and consolidate
cooperation across agencies. It will be a forum to present case studies of
best practises, and explore tools to support e-government initiatives
across federal, state, and local government organisations.

Submissions should be sent by email before June 15th 2005 at:
cosgov@objectweb.org. More information may be found in the Call For
Presentations.
Your organization can also support the event at no-cost.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Hanoi during the COSGov
conference.
