Re: [OSS] Re: VNLUG & tech references - Linux for wimps and others

From Linux Format Magazine:

"... we've got a veritable mountain of quality computing and geek books
here that are up for grabs! We could box them up and take them down to
Oxfam, but we'd rather send them to where they would do the most good - to
Linux LUGs. All you have to do to be on the receiving end of a box of
Linux goodness is to help us by telling everyone a little more about your
LUG. .... To get your LUG noticed (posted in the magazine), simply send us
about 200 words about your user group, and include a picture if possible,
perhaps from one of your regular meetings or an event you're planning....
In return, while stocks last, we'll send you a bumper box full of Linux
stuff from our cupboard. This mainly consists of books on a wide variety
of subjects that we recon may be of use to you, but there will also be
some software and other stuff if you are lucky. The invitation is also
open to LUGs overseas. ... "

This is on their monthly Linux User Groups page for the last two issues.

Being a British mag, the books will (most likely) be in English. They
don't list titles, but I imagine that the books include the various items
that they review for each month's magazine, and they review up to half a
dozen books in each issue.
