Here is some information that you could forward to people that must
understand French and might be interested by.

The Linux and free software project for Vietnam (code name :
C3LD-Vietnam, URL in french-vietnamese : http://c3ld.vn.refer.org/), a
cooperation programme between the Polytechnic university of Hanoi (IPH)
and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), will organize a
training (in French) on the administration and the interconnectivity of
computer networks in Hanoi from 27th to 31st December 2004.

Target audience will be network administrators, university cadres that
might get future responsabilities in university network's
administration, etc.
Training will be made on computers under the Linux operating system but
will address network problems in general, not specifically linux
operated networks. Some knowledge on basic Unix/linux commands are
necessary in order to attend the training session.

Training fees, including materials (mainly documentation and softwareon
burned CDs) and lunches, are 50 US dollars. Vietnamese cadres from local
universities will have their training fees covered by AUF. The total
number of participants is 15. Among these, 3 "seats" are reserved for
persons from the private, NGOs and international organizations's sectors.

Le projet Centre Linux et Logiciels libres pour le développement (C3LD)
Vietnam (http://c3ld.vn.refer.org/), porté par l'Institut polytechnique
de Hanoi (IPH), organisera dans les locaux du Centre d'accès à
l'information de Hanoi (CAI) une formation de type TRANSFER 1.2 sur
l'interconnexion des réseaux informatiques du lundi 27 décembre au
vendredi 31 décembre 2004 (5 jours).

Cette formation est essentiellement destinée au personnel d'encadrement
des universités. Trois places (sur un total de 15) sont réservées au
personnel des institutions internationales, organisations non
gouvernementales et au secteur privé. Les frais de formation (hors frais
de voyage et de séjour) sont de 50 dollars US et comprennent l'accès à
la formation, les repas de midi (lundi au vendredi) et la mise à
disposition de matériel pédagogique (sous forme de cédéroms).

Les inscriptions des candidats apprenants (et formateurs) se font

Les pré-requis pour les candidats apprenants sont d'avoir déjà installé
une distribution Linux ou de posséder une connaissance de base des
commandes élémentaires sous un système GNU/Linux. Pour les personnes
intéressées par la formation mais qui ne satisfont pas à ces pré-requis,
une pré-formation pourra être organisée le samedi 25 et (éventuellement)
le dimanche 26 décembre.

La date limite de candidature est fixée au 19 décembre 2004.
