I sent a mail to Mr. Mai Liem Truc in this regard, but did not get any feedback yet. An answer would probably be painful ;) There is a certain PC-toPhone provider in SIN. FPT and Netnam are their re-sellers in Vietnam. VDC is blocking access to that provider, while FPT makes advertising for another foreign provider on the website of their vnexpress online newspaper. What are the legal grounds that VDC is blocking access, while FPT makes advertising for a similar service???? Unfortunately, VDC through its close relation with the P&T has a nearly monopoly status in Vietnam when it comes to telecoms, including the Internet. The law in Vietnam (or to be more precise: the execution of the law) in many ways is the law of the one who has the power, be it the ISPs, the ... (you name it). What does it help, if the National Assembly and the Government make nice and reasonable laws, but later nobody cares about them, but make their own rules? Sad regards, Stefan
