Hello all!

Below is a collection of W3C news the last months. Webstandard and recommended use of HTML, XHTML, XML and so on is really important.
Websites that use these standards correctly can benifit from its accessability. The more people that can access the website the better.

W3C Holds Its First Outreach Event in Mainland China

The China International Forum on WWW's Development 2003 will be held
in Beijing on 12-13 November. Ivan Herman, Philipp Hoschka, Richard
Ishida, Shi Zhongzhi, Judy Brewer, and Matthew May present keynotes
and tutorials. Attendees will discuss the future of the Web,
accessibility, SVG, the mobile Web, the Semantic Web and
internationalization. Registration is open. The event is co-organized
by the China Computer Federation and the W3C Office in Hong Kong.

W3C Launches HTML Patent Advisory Group

Under W3C Current Patent Practice, a Patent Advisory Group (PAG) has
been launched to study issues for HTML-related Working Drafts and
Recommendations raised by the court case of Eolas v. Microsoft and US
Patent 5,838,906. Public discussion takes place on the
public-web-plugins@w3.org mailing list. Read the FAQ and visit the

Web Standards Switch," Log Validator Help to Improve Web Sites

The W3C QA Activity is pleased to announce "Web Standards Switch: or
how to improve your Web site easily," an article written for the
corporate environment, and a new release of the Log Validator. Both
resources can help improve the quality of Web sites, regardless of
