According to the GPL, they should/have to. And if they don't want to spoil
their good name with the Linux community, and possibly general bad
publicity, then they will do.

Somebody of CMC is on this list....
I hope that they at least respond to our question and tell us until when
they will decide ...

I highly do appreciate that offer. :)
Nevertheless, since CMC did the main first part, IMHO they should have the
"first choice" whether they want to do it by themselves.
