I don't think ISP give their client email addresses list to spammers. That
guy might get the address list
- by collecting email addresses from Internet
- from friends who work for ISPs
- from hacked servers of ISPs (I would say nearly all ISPs get
owned by someone. Some hacked cases were published, for example FTP HCM
case

Afaik, VNN also provided an email advertising service before to help you
send your advertisement info to all VNN clients. I don't know whether they
still provide this service or not. Stefan, you know how to confirm it,
right? ;)
