LENGTH: 129 words HEADLINE: LABOR & EDUCATION: VIETNAMESE STUDENT WINS LINUX SCHOLASTIC CHALLENGE BODY: Huynh Quang Thuan, a Vietnamese student at the Singapore National University, is among twenty winners of the second Linux Scholastic Challenge contest, reported the local Tuoi Tre (HCM City Youth) newspaper. Thuan's project deals with improving the functions and capability of the Linux file system. He is a former student of Ho Chi Minh City National University, and has won national prizes in computer sciences. The Linux Scholastic Challenge, an initiative by IBM, is designed to help students familiarize themselves with the open source Linux operating system and encourage them to improve their Linux skills and to improve Linux itself.
