Depends on the format to download.
I have a very detailed .gif map of Hanoi with about 1 MB.

And I might be interested in a vector format, which is usually even less.

I got mine by doing many screen shots of one of the on-line maps and
"glueing" them together. If the data would be "free(d)", I could give you a
copy ;)
