From 3th to 6th Japan sponsered e-asean to organize open source whorkshop in Bangkok - Thai lan. Rechard Stallmam will deliver presentaion there. From Vietnam Prof Tran luu Chuong will make presentation and one from my IT Office will attend the whorkshop. As far as I know, METI from Japan sponsers more than 8 milions USD for Japannese organization and companies to demonstrate and pilot projects, not for overseas as yahoo news. But anyway Japan will play an important role in Opensource in Asia.
