Dear All, as far as I can tell, there is agreement, that we should first aim at Public SW (Free SW and Open Source Software) for the Windows platform, before pushing for a Free OS (like Linux). The main applications would obviously be: - most important: * an office suite (i.e. OpenOffice) - a bit less important (since freeware available): * a browser (i.e. Mozilla) * an eMail client (e.g. included in Mozilla) As far as I understand, CMC did a Vietnamese version of OpenOffice 1.0.1 for Linux. There is nothing for Windows. CMC is distributing a 2-CD RedHat 7.1 distro with Vietnamese KDE. The OpenOffice is said to be on a third CD (which I haven't got). Does anybody know/does anybody here have contacts to CMC, whether they are interested/going to release also an OpenOffice 1.0.2 (i.e. latest version) for Windows? If not: Are the Vietnamese language sources for the OO 1.0.1 on the CD and/or can we get them otherwise from CMC, so that somebody else can work on a Windows release? Best Regards, Stefan
