Re: [OSS] Re: Fwd: Second OSS Conference - Follow Up

Dang! *More* legal reading! ;)

But i suppose that's what i get from quixotically hermitizing myself for 18 months in an attempt to transition my own mind from decades of insane support for pirated proprietary infosys clients back to a more Free and open Gestalt. I should have been more social.

Seriously, i love it. I'm hoping to be able to help an old friend at Baker & McKenzie VietNam, the Managing Lawyer in fact (and leader of the SaiGon pop-rock band Durian Durian, btw), when it comes time to conclusively deal with the ultimate dilemmas their key IP clients, Microsoft and the BSA, inevitably face in VietNam. Obviously, i still have a long way to go.

But the Lunar New Year starts in about a dozen hours here and i've still got too much to do before it does. After that, it's going to be pretty hard to avoid taking a break for the full week thereafter.

Could i ask one further favour, Mr Stallman? Could you help us not make the same mistake i made by my self-imposed isolationism of last year and a half? Could you send a Vietnamese "Happy New Year" to the pioneer of the VietLUG list, Nguyen Dai Quy, http://linux.nguyendai.org/ -- and maybe add what you'd wish most for VietNam in the coming 12 lunar months?

You only need write this:

Chu'c Mu+`ng Na(m Mo+'i Quy' Mu`i 2003 cho ba'c Quy va` ca'c ba'c VietLUG!

This translates, literally, albeit roughly, as:

Best Wishes Year New Precious 8th Earth Stem 2003 to Uncle Quy and the Uncles VietLUG!

Chu'c Mu+`ng Na(m Mo+'i Quy' Mu`i 2003 cho ba'c rms, ba'c Chu+o+ng, ba'c Lo^.c, ba'c Stefan va` ca'c ba'c kha'c cu?a oss@isoc-vn.org !!!
