FS/OSS is a target, but not yet widely implemented. And as long as licenses are not enforced (between states and users), there is much reason to prepare, but little reason to switch for the end user. But you are absolutely right, that we should care about the file formats. And this website is hosted by a Worldbank project (InfoDev). As a side note: During the Conference in Hanoi, it turned out, that people who were using Windows for their presentations could connect their Notebook PCs to the video projector without problems, while many presenters had slight to severe problems with their GNU/Linux Notebooks. > That is a secret format which cannot be read with free software. OpenOffice can read .ppt But we approach a matter which - again - needs more time. I made a while ago a presentation with OpenOffice's "Presenter" (I think, that was the name). Then tried to look at it with PowerPoint, and it was horrible. Edited in PowerPoint and tried to view it in Presenter, again: no use. In the end I had to look at the widest audience: PowerPoint. I hope and heard, that Presenter is better now, so I will try the next time again.... Regards, Stefan
