HACKER STEALS FPT’S EMAIL ADDRESS BOOK

HA NOI — A hacker has copied a list of 30,000 email addresses belonging to
FPT HCM City customers, threatening their privacy.

The hacker also entered the website of FPT HCM company, a subsidiary of the
Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT), one of the
country’s biggest Internet Service Provider (ISP), leaving abusive messages.

IT experts suspect that the hacker may have found some security lapses in
the ISP’s servers, enabling him to penetrate the portal.
